Mini-Training: Civil 3D – Building a Corridor with Targeting, Conditional Assemblies, Offset Assembly and Omit Link

September 27 at10:00 am - 11:00 am UTC-5
$19.95

Building a road or corridor is rarely as simple as 12-foot lanes with full curb and then a 3:1 daylight from beginning to end. This mini training will focus in on the advanced features of a corridor such as targeting alignments, feature lines, survey figure lines or Polylines. Then we’ll look at conditional and/or offset assemblies, when to and not to use them. Finally wrap the training up with the omit link concept of a corridor build.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand what can be targeted and how to assign them as targets
  • Comprehend the concept of FOUND and NOT FOUND with conditional assemblies
  • Learn how to use an offset assembly
  • Attendees will learn the benefits of omitting a link within the assembly build

Mini-Training: Fluid Adaptation – Pipe Networks for Watermain Design in Civil 3D (Part 2)

October 16 at2:00 pm - 3:00 pm UTC-5
$19.95

Pressure Networks can be time consuming and expensive to implement. Pipe Networks were designed to model and analyze gravity systems, but they can also be used to create a dynamic layout of a pressurized system. The second video in this two-part series will demonstrate the content creation and implementation required for the Pipe Network to display correctly in Plan, Profile, and Section view for dynamic labeling and tabling.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discover which properties of Pipe Networks allow for this workaround
  • Learn to modify the Part Catalog to create the content necessary for this workaround
  • Learn to modify the Part List for efficient placement of parts
  • Learn to modify Part Styles for proper display throughout the drawing
